Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM Application Installation Behavior (Windows)

By writing this article I want to provide more insight into the order of application installation on the Windows platform when using Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM. Since a lot of information is already available on this topic I will keep this article short and only mention additional information compared to the information that can be found in the articles below.

If you want to have full control over the order of application installations, we recommend Freestyle Orchestrator as no specific order can be achieved outside of using Freestyle Orchestrator. The order all depends on the Desired State Management (DSM) synchronisation with the Modern SaaS Architecture or the command queue with the legacy architecture.

While on the command queue framework and if nothing is organised for the order of application installations, the earlier an application package is created and uploaded to Workspace ONE UEM, the lower the AppID in the database, and the earlier it will be in the command queue.
